Here’s a look at what we have been up to at team 997 during week 2 of build season. Keep an eye out for week 3 when we start actual robot construction.
Kieran Prince welds components of the pyramid together.
Mentor Floyd Moore teaches Matt Sharpe pneumatics basics. Thursday was mentor appreciation day. Team 997 would like to give special thanks to all our mentors for everything you do for us.
Brendan Prince grinds away burrs left from welding on Saturday. The team is constructing a full-size game pyramid to test the robot on.
Annie Edge and Emily Limon discuss robot design. The team uses CAD to make robot construction as efficient as possible.
Edward San Romani, Karl Merritt, Daniel Zhu, Riley Moore, Brendan Prince and Connor Sherlock display the completed drivetrain on Saturday. It will be fully modular and removable from the climber.
The climber prototype summits the mock up pyramid on Saturday. The fully functional prototype will allow programmers to start developing code several weeks earlier than in previous years.
