Athena was our 2016 competition season robot. She had an eight-wheel east coast drive using pneumatic wheels, with the front and back wheels slightly raised for increased mobility and reduced scrub force. There was an electric motor-driven manipulator on the front of the robot, to traverse obstacles and help guide the ball into the shooting mechanism. The shooting mechanism had four different angle settings for traversing obstacles, gathering the ball, and shooting goals. Equipped with these mechanisms, we were able to traverse most of the obstacles.
